How do we know God's promises about suffering are true?

Answered in 1 source

We trust in God's promises through Scripture and our experiences that assure us of His faithfulness amid suffering.

God's promises concerning suffering and tribulation are substantiated by His Word and our personal experiences with Him. The Scriptures, such as Romans 8:28-30, assure believers that all things work together for good, particularly during difficult times. As Christians encounter trials, they learn experientially that God's grace sustains them (2 Corinthians 12:9), and they begin to see the truth of His promises in their lives. This combination of scriptural assurance and personal testimony builds a believer's confidence in God's sovereignty over their suffering.
