How do we know God's promises are secure?

Answered in 3 sources

God's covenant promises, exemplified through the oath of never abandoning His people, ensure His unchanging nature.

The security of God's promises is founded on His immutable nature as revealed in Scripture. In Isaiah 54, God compares His promise not to bring judgment to the covenant made with Noah after the flood, signifying that just as He will not flood the earth again, He will never be wroth with His people. This assurance extends to believers today, who are reminded that God will always uphold His covenant of grace and never forsake them. Therefore, believers can have confidence that their standing before God is secure, based on His promises rather than their performance.
