How do we know God's promises to answer prayer are true?

Answered in 2 sources

God's trustworthiness is demonstrated throughout Scripture, and His responses to prayer affirm His faithfulness and reliability.

The assurance of God's promises regarding prayer stems from His unchanging nature and past faithfulness, as highlighted in Psalm 28. The psalmist reflects on the joy that comes when God answers prayer, noting, 'Blessed be the Lord because He has heard the voice of my supplications.' This illustrates that God's responses to the cries of His people are a testament to His faithfulness. Throughout Scripture, we also see numerous instances where God has acted in response to the prayers of His people, fulfilling His promises across generations. Additionally, Jesus Himself taught His followers to pray, assuring them that their prayers would be met with God's attention. Thus, the consistency of God’s character and His historical faithfulness to His people serve as strong evidence that He will indeed fulfill His promises regarding prayer.
