How do we know God's promises to His people are true?

Answered in 1 source

God's promises are assured through His character and the fulfillment of His covenant throughout history.

The truth of God's promises can be traced back to His unchanging nature and faithfulness. In Isaiah 40 and throughout scripture, we see how God fulfills His word to His people. His covenant with His chosen illustrates how He elects, redeems, and loves His people unconditionally. Historical instances of God's intervention in the lives of His people, such as leading the Israelites out of Egypt or comforting those in distress, further affirm that His promises are trustworthy and reliable.
