How do we know God's promises to the righteous are true?

Answered in 1 source

God's promises are affirmed through His faithfulness and the assurance of eternal inheritance granted to the righteous in Christ.

The assurance of God’s promises to the righteous is grounded in His unchanging character and faithfulness. In Psalm 37, the psalmist declares that 'the Lord knoweth the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever' (Psalm 37:18). This speaks to the eternal guarantee of God's care for His people. Additionally, in 1 Peter 1:4, we learn that God has granted us an 'inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.' Thus, the certainty of God's promises stems from His nature as a trustworthy God who keeps His word and has secured our future in Christ. Believers can stand firm in these promises knowing that they are ultimately fulfilled through Christ.
