How do we know God's promises will not change?

Answered in 3 sources

God's promises are unwavering because His purposes and plans cannot be changed or thwarted.

The unchangeable nature of God's promises is rooted in His sovereignty and the absolute certainty that His will is final. As outlined in Isaiah 40, He is supreme over all creation, and the Scriptures declare 'the counsel of the Lord stands forever' (Psalm 33:11). This means that His plan for the redemption of His people, as seen in Ephesians 1:11, is secure, granting believers assurance that they will not be lost. Moreover, God's character is consistent; He cannot lie or break His covenant. Therefore, believers can rest assured that they will reap the blessings promised to them, as He is faithful to fulfill His word.
