How do we know God's purpose is at work in our lives?

Answered in 1 source

God's purpose is revealed through the Scriptures and the evidence of His providential care, which often becomes clear in hindsight.

We can know God's purpose is at work in our lives through the promises found in Scripture and the way God has historically interacted with His people. Verses like Romans 8:28 assure us that 'all things work together for good to them that love God.' Just as in the story of Esther, where the Lord's hand was at work behind the scenes, we might not always recognize His purpose in our immediate circumstances. However, as we reflect upon our experiences, we often find that God's providential care is evident in retrospect. His guidance and direction, even through difficulties, align with His greater plan of salvation and grace for His people, showcasing His unwavering commitment to fulfill His purposes.
