How do we know God's purpose is unalterable?

Answered in 1 source

God's purpose is demonstrated in Scripture as being absolute and immutable, with His decrees being fulfilled regardless of human unbelief.

In Romans 3:3-4, Paul asserts that even if some do not believe, it does not nullify God's purpose. God's unalterable purpose is rooted in His sovereignty, meaning that His will prevails irrespective of human actions or doubts. Throughout history, this has been evident; despite the sinfulness and rebellion of humanity, God remains faithful to His elect, ensuring their salvation. The certainty of His purpose is showcased even in the face of sin and rebellion, as God ultimately will bring glory to His name through the fulfillment of His promises and the salvation of His chosen people. Hence, God's purpose stands firm and cannot be thwarted by human failure.
