How do we know God's righteousness is important for Christians?

In order to experience true peace and joy, Christians must first understand and embrace God's righteousness, as articulated in Romans 14:17. This righteousness is not derived from personal merit but is given by God, manifesting in the hearts, minds, and souls of His people. Moreover, seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness ensures that all other aspects of life, including earthly needs, will align in their proper place, leading to a deep sense of fulfillment and hope. Any pursuit of joy without a foundation of righteousness will ultimately lead to disappointment.
