How do we know God's righteousness is necessary?

Answered in 2 sources

Scripture reveals that God's righteousness is necessary for salvation, as our own righteousness is insufficient.

The necessity of God's righteousness is affirmed throughout Scripture. In Romans 10:3, Paul points out that those depending on their own righteousness fail to submit to the righteousness of God, which is ultimately found in Christ. This teaches us that our efforts are inadequate for earning salvation. When individuals rely on their own works or self-righteousness, they remain in danger of judgment. True salvation requires acknowledging that our righteousness cannot meet God's standard. We can only be justified through faith in Jesus Christ, who fulfilled the law perfectly and offers His righteousness to all who believe.
