How do we know God's sovereign will is true?

Answered in 2 sources

God's sovereign will is confirmed through His unchanging character and the fulfillment of His promises in Scripture.

The certainty of God's sovereign will stems from His nature as all-powerful and good. As Paul explains in Romans 9, God's sovereignty is such that He has mercy on whom He wills and hardens whom He wills, affirming that He is the ultimate authority over creation. Furthermore, the consistent testimony of the biblical narrative, from creation to redemption, illustrates that God's will prevails despite human rebellion. His purposes are often revealed in the unfolding of history, where predestined events align perfectly with His plans. This results in an assurance that what God has declared in His Word is unbreakable and definitive.
