How do we know God's sovereignty in our actions?

Answered in 1 source

We understand that God is sovereign over all events and uses humans to fulfill His purposes.

Haggai highlights that while God is sovereign, He also accomplishes His will through human agency. The people thought it was prudent to pause their work on the temple to wait for God’s timing, believing His purposes would come to pass without their involvement. However, Haggai emphasizes that God utilizes His chosen servants to bring about His plans. The apostle Paul reiterates this truth in Philippians 2:13, indicating that it is God who works in us to will and to act according to His good purpose. Therefore, understanding our call to action, united with God’s sovereignty, allows us to participate in His work while recognizing His ultimate control over all outcomes.
