How do we know God's sovereignty in our suffering?

Answered in 5 sources

God’s sovereignty is demonstrated through His control over all events, including our suffering, ensuring they fulfill His good purposes (Exodus 15:22-26).

God's sovereignty means that He is the ultimate authority over all creation, controlling both the good and the seemingly bad in our lives. As seen in Exodus 15, when the Israelites faced the bitter waters of Mara, it was God who had led them to that trial. This underscores that suffering isn’t random or meaningless; it serves a purpose in God's plan. God uses suffering to shape our character, deepen our faith, and ultimately bring glory to Himself. His perfect sovereignty ensures that even our pain has a role in the grand narrative of redemption.
