How do we know God's sovereignty is at work in our lives?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty is evident in all circumstances, as He governs both our successes and failures for His purpose.

The sovereignty of God is a fundamental doctrine in Reformed theology, asserting that He is in control of all events, directing them according to His divine plan. In the case of David, his rise and fall exemplify God's sovereign hand; David’s victories are attributed to God’s favor, while his sins demonstrate God’s permissive will. Romans 8:28 highlights that God works all things for the good of those who love Him. This means that even when we face trials or sin, God is using these circumstances to fulfill His purposes and to draw us closer to Him. His sovereignty assures us that nothing happens by chance; rather, it is all part of His perfect plan (Isaiah 14:24).
