How do we know God's will is good for us?

Answered in 1 source

God's will is good because He is holy and just, and His decisions come from His perfect wisdom and love.

We understand that God's will is inherently good because it stems from His character as a holy and just God. Throughout Scripture, believers are reminded that God's ways are higher than ours, and His plans are designed for our ultimate good and His glory. For instance, Job declared, 'The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord' (Job 1:21), publicly affirming God's sovereignty over both blessings and afflictions. The Psalmist acknowledges the goodness of affliction when he states that it was good for him to be afflicted so that he might learn God's statutes (Psalm 119:71). Such glimpses into God's dealings affirm that even in hardship, there is divine purpose and love at work.
