How do we know God's will is perfect?

Answered in 1 source

We know God's will is perfect because Scripture reveals His nature as holy, just, and unchanging (James 1:17).

The perfection of God's will is affirmed throughout the Bible, as it stems from His immutable nature. James 1:17 teaches us that 'Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.' This perfection ensures that everything God purposes is aligned with His wisdom and righteousness. Furthermore, as believers, our understanding of God's will is shaped through Scripture, which reveals His character and His planned purposes for creation. The assurance that God's will is both excellent and steadfast helps Christians trust in His governance, even when circumstances seem obscure or difficult to understand (Romans 12:2).
