How do we know God's will is supreme?

Answered in 4 sources

God's will is supreme as demonstrated by His actions in creation and throughout history, proving that nothing can thwart His purposes.

The supremacy of God's will is illustrated in Scripture through both His creative authority and His redemptive plan. For instance, when God commanded light to shine into darkness, as seen in Genesis, His will was established without contest. Moreover, the story of Satan's rebellion in Isaiah 14 depicts the futility of opposing God's will, as seen when Satan declares, 'I will,' only to be met with God's pronouncement of judgment. Throughout biblical history, God's providence weaves a narrative where His will consistently prevails, even in the face of human defiance or evil. This ultimate authority over the cosmos assures believers that His intentions for their lives are executed with perfect wisdom and goodness.
