How do we know God's word is important?

Answered in 1 source

God's word is foundational for spiritual life and moral understanding, as it reveals His character and will.

God's word is of utmost importance because it is the primary means by which He reveals Himself to humanity. Through Scripture, believers are able to understand God's character, His expectations for His people, and the means of salvation through Christ. The Bible is likened to a lamp guiding our paths (Psalm 119:105) and a sword that discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). The neglect of God's word leads to chaos and moral decline, demonstrating how vital it is for believers to treasure and follow His word for guidance and clarity in a world filled with confusion.
