How do we know God's work is unshakeable?

Answered in 1 source

God's work cannot be overthrown because it is His sovereign purpose (Acts 5:39).

According to Acts 5:39, 'But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it.' This profound statement assures believers that God's will and purpose prevail over all human efforts to obstruct or undermine it. The history of redemption affirms that God's decrees are invincible; they cannot be resisted. Scripture emphasizes that everything He does shall remain forever, and thus believers can find confidence and courage in the fact that God's purposes in the world, particularly in the salvation of His people, cannot ultimately fail or be thwarted by any opposition, whether from men or even the forces of hell. This sovereignty is the bedrock of our faith and assures us that God's work in us and through us is eternal.
