How do we know God saves His people?

Answered in 3 sources

God saves His people through the instrumentality of gospel preaching and His sovereign purpose, ensuring the salvation of the elect.

According to sovereign grace theology, God's salvation of His people is accomplished through the ordained means of gospel preaching. His sovereign will guarantees that all whom He has chosen will be saved, but this process occurs through hearing the gospel. Romans 10:17 states that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. God's purpose is not random; He sends preachers to declare His grace, knowing that His Word will accomplish what He intends. This assurance removes uncertainty and reinforces the absolute necessity of preaching in the salvation of His elect.
