How do we know God saves us despite our sins?

Answered in 1 source

God's unconditional love and salvation are illustrated in His actions throughout Scripture, especially at Calvary.

The act of salvation is profoundly demonstrated through God's historical dealings with Israel and culminates in the New Testament at Calvary. As seen in Psalm 106, God saves His people not because of their righteousness, but in spite of their unworthiness. The psalm recounts the repeated failures of Israel, yet highlights God's grace that saves them nevertheless. Romans 5:8 further affirms this truth that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, showcasing that salvation is an act of divine love that transcends our sinful nature.
