How do we know God shows mercy to His people?

In Psalm 102:13, the psalmist expresses confidence that God will arise and have mercy upon Zion, which reflects God's enduring promise to care for His Church. This mercy is not arbitrary but is rooted in God’s covenant faithfulness, which translates into tangible blessings for His people. Throughout the history of Israel, we see instances where God, in His mercy, delivered them from trials and tribulations, such as their exodus from Egypt.
