How do we know God uses even false prophets?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty allows Him to use even false prophets to ultimately fulfill His plans and speak truth.

In the case of Balaam, despite his intentions to curse Israel, God's sovereignty compelled him to bless His people instead. This truth is exemplified in Numbers 23:8, where Balaam states, 'How shall I curse whom God hath not cursed?' Even in his rebellion, God ensured that the true message was proclaimed. This illustrates that God's will cannot be thwarted by human actions. Instead, God consistently turns the intentions of the wicked to praise His own name and benefit His people. Christians draw comfort from this truth, knowing that God governs all events, including the actions of those who oppose Him, to fulfill His promises and achieve His divine purposes.
