How do we know God uses struggles for our good?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture assures us that God uses all things, including struggles, to work for the good of those who love Him.

The assurance that God works all things for the good of His people is found in Romans 8:28, which states that 'we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.' This means that even in difficult circumstances, believers can trust that God is operating in their lives to bring about His sovereign will. The struggles of life are instruments in God's hands, designed not to harm His children but to refine them, drawing them closer to Him in reliance and faith. Therefore, struggles should be viewed not as signs of abandonment but as opportunities for God to demonstrate His faithfulness and to accomplish His purposes in us.
