How do we know God will answer our prayers?

Answered in 4 sources

God promises to answer the prayers of those who come to Him in faith, acknowledging their need for His mercy and grace.

The assurance of God's responsiveness to prayer is grounded in His nature and His promises. As David states in Psalm 86:7, 'In the day of my trouble I will call upon Thee, for Thou wilt answer me.' This assurance is not based on our merit but on God's goodness and readiness to forgive. Believers who approach Him with humility and a contrite heart can trust in His readiness to respond to their needs. When prayers are aligned with God's will, especially the acknowledgment of our sinful state and desperate need for His grace, we have confidence that He will hear and act.
