How do we know God will maintain our salvation?

Answered in 1 source

We know God will maintain our salvation because He is sovereign and committed to the work He began in us.

The certainty that God will maintain our salvation is derived from His own nature and promises. As indicated in Philippians 1:6, God is the one who began this work and He is faithful to complete it. This is not based on our performance but upon God’s unchanging character. Additionally, the Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in this maintenance by working in us to will and to act according to God’s good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). Thus, our salvation is secure because it rests not on our resolve but on God's divine power and grace, which ensures its continuation until the day of Christ.
