How do we know God will never forsake us?

Answered in 2 sources

God's promises, including His declaration to Joshua that He will never leave us or forsake us, are fulfilled through Jesus Christ.

In Joshua 1:5, God assures Joshua that He will never leave or forsake him. This promise extends to believers today, as it finds its ultimate fulfillment in Christ. As affirmed in Hebrews 13:5-6, God’s inability to abandon His people stems from His absolute power and integrity. The assurance comes from the resurrection of Jesus, who bears our sins and represents us before God, demonstrating that believers are never forsaken, even in times of sin or weakness.
