How do we know God will strengthen us?

Answered in 1 source

God promises in His Word that He shall strengthen those who wait on Him, as affirmed in Psalm 27:14.

We know that God will strengthen us because He has made it a promise to His people throughout Scripture. Psalm 27:14 explicitly states, 'Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.' This assurance comes from the understanding that God is faithful to His word. As we wait on Him, we put ourselves in a position to receive His strength, which is necessary for navigating the difficulties and uncertainties of life.

Furthermore, the promises of God are grounded in His character and past faithfulness. He has proven Himself to be a refuge and a source of strength throughout scripture and history. The assurance of His help is also reflected in verses like Isaiah 30:18, which states, 'Blessed are all they that wait for him.' As believers, we can trust that God’s eternal purpose and plan include His commitment to our well-being and our need for strength in every circumstance.
