How do we know gospel holiness is true?

Answered in 1 source

Gospel holiness is confirmed by the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in a believer's heart that leads to a desire for Christ.

The truth of gospel holiness is evidenced by the radical transformation it produces in the believer’s life. When God imparts His holiness into our hearts, we begin to desire Christ above all else and seek to grow in our relationship with Him. This change is not something we can produce in ourselves but is a work of the Holy Spirit, which makes us aware of our own sinfulness and leads us to place our faith entirely in Jesus Christ. In Philippians 3, the Apostle Paul illustrates this by expressing that all his previous accomplishments are but loss compared to knowing Christ. Therefore, the authenticity of gospel holiness is validated through a believer’s ongoing pursuit of Christ and their experience of His resurrection power in their lives.
