Salvation cannot be achieved through works; it is solely by the grace of God through Christ.

Ephesians 2:8-9 emphasizes that 'for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.' This highlights that human effort cannot result in salvation. It's through the grace of God that we are saved, justified by faith in Jesus Christ alone. The doctrine of justification teaches us to forsake all trust in our works and instead look to Christ, who fulfilled the law on our behalf, as our righteousness.
