How do we know grace is effective?

Answered in 1 source

We know grace is effective because it accomplishes God's perfect purpose in our lives.

God's grace is described as effectual, meaning it always achieves its intended purpose. Unlike human efforts that may falter, God's grace does not simply attempt to act; it succeeds in delivering salvation, sanctification, and perseverance for His chosen. This concept of effectual grace is essential in Reformed theology, emphasizing that God’s grace does not merely offer a chance for salvation but actively saves and transforms those whom He has chosen. Romans 8:28 further affirms this by stating that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
