How do we know grace is greater than our sin?

Answered in 1 source

The gospel assures us that where sin abounds, grace abounds much more.

In the sermon, we learn that despite the vastness of our sin, the grace of God in Christ is infinitely greater. Romans 5:20 states, 'where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.' This means that no amount of sin can outweigh the redemption found in Jesus. Instead of allowing our sin to defeat us, we can trust in the sufficiency of Christ's sacrifice, which cleanses us from every transgression. Thus, grace triumphs over sin, offering us hope and assurance of God’s love.
