How do we know grace is greater than the law?

Answered in 7 sources

Grace is greater than the law as it reveals our complete inability to fulfill the law's demands, pointing us to Christ as our only hope.

Grace surpasses the law by demonstrating our utter inability to achieve the perfection the law demands. The law serves as a schoolmaster, as described in Galatians 3:24, leading us to Christ so we can be justified by faith. Knowing that we cannot save ourselves through adherence to the law highlights the necessity of grace, which is freely given through the imputed righteousness of Christ. Hence, while the law convicts and condemns, grace offers redemption and peace.
