How do we know grace is sufficient for our duties?

Answered in 1 source

Grace is sufficient because it empowers believers to fulfill their obligations out of love rather than fear, as Christ has already met the law's demands.

The grace of God is central to understanding how His people can fulfill their duties to Him. Romans 8:12-15 indicates that we are not obligated to live according to the flesh, which serves sin. Instead, the Spirit of God leads us as adopted sons, offering us the power to live righteously. The debt of sin has been settled through Christ's atoning sacrifice, allowing us to rejoice in service rather than dread it. Believers are called to serve not from a spirit of bondage but from one of love and adoption, which enables genuine service to God. We learn through the Spirit to see Jesus as our righteousness, not merely a legal requirement that binds us.
