How do we know grace is sufficient for our salvation?

Answered in 5 sources

Grace is sufficient because it is through faith in Jesus Christ, not works, that we receive salvation, as clearly taught in Galatians.

Paul emphasizes in Galatians 5 that if believers attempt to seek justification through the law, they fall from grace (Galatians 5:4). This indicates that salvation is primarily by grace alone, through faith alone, as the only means of receiving Christ's redemptive work. The contrast is between living under the law, which leads to a burdened conscience, and living under grace, which brings peace and assurance. True believers are secure in their salvation because it rests not on their merit but on Christ’s perfect obedience and sacrifice. It is this understanding that forms the bedrock of reformed theology on grace, affirming that it alone sustains our relationship with God.
