How do we know grace is the only means of salvation?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible asserts that grace is the only means of salvation, as it is through Christ that we receive righteousness apart from our works.

Scripture consistently indicates that salvation is entirely through God’s grace, not through our efforts. Romans 4 discusses Abraham's faith, highlighting that he was justified not by his works but through faith in God’s promises. Paul emphasizes in Philippians 3 that he seeks to be found in Christ, not having a righteousness of his own, but that which comes through faith in Christ. This affirms that salvation is God’s gift, and faith itself is the evidence of that grace at work in a believer's heart. The sovereign grace of God leads us to the realization of our complete dependence on Him for salvation.
