How do we know grace leads to obedience?

Answered in 1 source

Grace inspires true obedience through gratitude for God's salvation and love.

Obedience is not the root of grace; rather, grace produces a desire to obey. Moses reminds the Israelites of God's past faithfulness before calling them to obedience, illustrating that genuine adherence to God's commands emerges from gratitude for what He has done. Rather than viewing God's requirements as burdensome, believers see them as opportunities to glorify Him, motivated by the love of Christ. As expressed in Deuteronomy, this obedience is grounded in acknowledging God's grace and reflects our relationship with Him.
