How do we know graciousness is important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Graciousness is essential for Christians as it reflects the love of Christ and showcases the doctrine of grace in action.

The importance of graciousness in a believer's life cannot be overstated. It is through our graciousness that the world perceives our faith and the authenticity of the Gospel. In 1 Corinthians 6, Paul admonishes the Corinthians for failing to handle disputes among themselves graciously, opting instead for litigation. This behavior wounded their testimony and belied the very message of grace they professed to believe. As representatives of Christ, it is through love and graciousness that we will be identified as His disciples (John 13:35), further affirming that how we treat others reflects our understanding of God’s grace in our own lives.
