How do we know heart faith is true?

Answered in 2 sources

Heart faith is true when it involves genuine knowledge of God, an affirmative heart response, and a commitment to trust in Christ (Romans 10:9-10).

True heart faith cannot be divorced from knowledge, as one must know the God of the Bible and His gospel to place trust in Him. It is not enough to merely possess knowledge; one must also sincerely agree with God about His truth and trust Him with their life. As Romans 10:9-10 articulates, confessing with the mouth and believing in the heart leads to salvation. Therefore, a heart that truly believes will show evidence of reliance on Jesus Christ for righteousness, reflecting an inner transformation and commitment to God's ways.
