How do we know if a decision aligns with God's will?

Answered in 1 source

To confirm a decision aligns with God's will, check if it agrees with Scripture and seeks God's glory.

To discern if a decision is aligned with God's will, we must first ask whether it is congruent with the teachings in Scripture. If the action contradicts any biblical principle, it cannot be God's will (Jeremiah 29:10). Secondly, we must evaluate if the decision serves to glorify God. Every action taken as a congregation must stem from a desire to magnify God's name rather than personal gain or recognition. Lastly, assessing opportunities and the collective heart of the congregation can clarify if the action aligns with God’s will for their ministry.
