We know God is speaking to us when His Word resonates in our hearts and minds, bringing clarity and conviction.
God communicates with His people primarily through His Word, both in written scripture and through preaching. In the case of Samuel, he initially did not recognize the voice of the Lord because he had not yet come to know Him personally. The key to understanding God's communication is an openness to His truth, whether through reading the Bible or listening to sermons. When we are struck by a scripture passage or a sermon that speaks to our current situation or feelings, it may indicate God is trying to impart wisdom or guidance. This process often unfolds gradually as we grow in our relationship with Him, allowing us to recognize His voice more clearly as we mature in faith.
