How do we know if God loves us?

Answered in 2 sources

We know God loves us through our faith in Christ and by being chosen in Him before the foundation of the world.

Assurance of God's love stems primarily from our relationship with Christ. As noted in Ephesians 1:4-6, believers are chosen in Him before the foundation of the world and made acceptable in the Beloved. This concept of electing love confirms that if someone is a believer in Christ, they are also beloved of God. We love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19), and this relational dynamic indicates that God's love results in our salvation. The persistent question of whether God loves us is answered affirmatively for those who are in Christ, as His love is revealing and transformative.
