How do we know if Jesus Christ is in us?

The assurance that Jesus Christ resides in believers is grounded in the transformative work of the Holy Spirit. 1 John 4:13 states that we know we dwell in Him and He in us when He gives us His Spirit. This spiritual connection results in bearing the fruits of the Spirit, which reflect Christ’s character and actions in a believer’s life. Thus, a true believer will exhibit a sincere desire to follow Christ, serve others, and live righteously, evidencing the presence of the Savior within them.
