How do we know if our faith is saving faith?

Answered in 2 sources

We know our faith is saving if it leads us to a humble acknowledgment of our need for Christ and a deep, personal trust in Him for salvation.

To discern if one's faith is saving, we should consider the nature of our belief. Saving faith is not merely an intellectual belief or agreement with Christian doctrine but involves an acknowledgment of one’s sinful state and utter dependence on Christ for salvation. This is echoed in the Bible where the demons believe and tremble, yet their faith does not save them (James 2:19). Genuine faith manifests through a desire for transformation and a deep-rooted trust in Jesus as the sole source of eternal life, as seen in John 17:3, where knowing God and Christ is equated to having eternal life.
