How do we know if our regeneration is genuine?

Answered in 1 source

Genuine regeneration leads to a transformed mind, heart, and will that seeks to glorify God.

Genuine regeneration, or being 'born again,' produces a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). This transformation is evident when a believer begins to think differently about God, aligning with His Word. A regenerated person will have new affections, desiring to love God rather than selfishness. Their will is transformed, turning from rebellion to submission to Christ's lordship. As stated in John 3:3, without being born again, one cannot see or enter the kingdom of God; the evidence of regeneration is a life increasingly characterized by holiness and love for Christ.
