How do we know if someone has the Holy Spirit?

Answered in 1 source

You can recognize someone with the Holy Spirit by their inability to call Jesus accursed and their affirmation of Jesus as Lord.

In 1 Corinthians 12:3, Paul asserts that no man speaking by the Spirit of God can say that Jesus is accursed. This essential truth underscores that the confession of Christ's lordship is a mark of the genuine work of the Holy Spirit in an individual's life. Believers who possess the Holy Spirit will inherently affirm the divinity and authority of Christ. Thus, if an individual bears witness to Jesus as Lord—trusting in His finished work—they manifest the reality of the Holy Spirit's presence within them.
