How do we know if the love of the Father is in us?

Answered in 1 source

The presence of the love of the Father is evidenced by our desire to prioritize Christ above all worldly pursuits.

The love of the Father is evident in individuals who do not cling to worldly desires but instead seek Christ and His righteousness. According to the sermon, if anyone's heart desires worldly things over the worship of Christ, the love of the Father is absent. A true believer will experience conviction regarding their sinful nature and will desire to turn away from the lust of the flesh and pride. This longing to abandon sin and rely solely on the grace of Christ shows that the love of the Father dwells within them.
