How do we know if we are elect according to the Bible?

Answered in 2 sources

We can know we are elect by responding to God's call through faith in Christ, as highlighted in 2 Peter 1:10.

The assurance of being among the elect comes from recognizing God's call to salvation. In 2 Peter 1:10, we are encouraged to 'give diligence to make your calling and election sure.' This means when you respond to the gospel and place your faith in Christ, it serves as evidence of your election. The calling of God is an actual event that brings an individual into fellowship with Him, transforming them from spiritual deadness to life. This contrasts with a reliance on the abstract concept of election; instead, we focus on the faith we place in Christ, knowing that it is God who enables us to believe and receive His grace.
