How do we know if we are elected according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

Assurance of election can be found by examining one's faith and reliance on Christ, as stated in 2 Corinthians 13:5.

Election is a divine act by which God chooses certain individuals for salvation. While we cannot see God's Book of Life, the Bible instructs us to examine our faith to ascertain our election. In 2 Corinthians 13:5, Paul says, 'Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves.' This self-examination includes looking for the presence of God-given faith and the transformation that flows from it, which gives believers confidence in their election. If one's faith actively relies on Christ and reflects a desire to grow in godliness, it is evidence of divine election.
