How do we know if we are elected by God?

Answered in 4 sources

We can know we are elected if we genuinely desire to come to Christ and have faith in Him, as all whom the Father gives to the Son will come.

According to John 6:37, the assurance of one's election lies in the acknowledgment that all whom the Father has given to Christ will indeed come to Him. This conveys a profound truth: that the desire to seek Christ and come to Him is rooted in the work of the Holy Spirit, who draws the elect to faith. The evidence of election is also evident in a person's willingness to embrace the gospel, highlighting the transformative work of God's grace in their hearts. Authentic faith, therefore, serves as a seal of divine inheritance, affirming their chosen status before God. In contrast, those who persist in unbelief reveal their status as outside this covenant of grace.
